Mary Meigs of the United States, now living in Canada, is a painter who has had one-man shows in Boston, New York and Paris. She has published Illustrations for Two Novels: the Manuscripts Of Pauline Archange and St. Lawrence Blues.

Mary Haynes of the United States, now living in Canada, has appeared in several journals: Chelsea, The New Yorker, Massachusetts Review, Bachy.

Robert Markle of Canada is an artist and journalist whose works of oils and drawings have been shown at the Isaacs Gallery, Toronto.

Morley Callaghan of Canada is the author of many novels, including A Fine And Private Place, Close To The Sun Again, The Enchanted Pimp and No Man’s Meat. The chapters in this issue are a re-working and further development of The Enchanted Pimp, and that novel is now called The Stepping Stone.
