Timothy Findley of Canada’s novels include The Butterfly Plague, The Last of the Crazy People and The Wars.

DENNIS BURTON – The Notebooks and Paintings

Dennis Burton of Canada has paintings and drawings in many important collections including those of The National Gallery, Ottawa; The Art Gallery of Ontario and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. A twenty-five year retrospective has traveled across the country. He is represented by the Isaacs Gallery in Toronto.

MARIE-CLAIRE BLAIS – The Ocean

Marie-Claire Blais of Canada is the author of several novels, works for the stage and poems. Her translated novels include: The Manuscripts of Pauline Archange, David Sterne, The Wolf (a section of which appeared in Exile, Vol. 1, No. 4). She has also published a volume of three plays including The Ocean.

ALDEN NOWLAN – Five Poems

Alden Nowlan of Canada has published many volumes of poetry and prose including Bread, Wine & Salt, for which he received the Governor General’s Award, I’m A Stranger Here Myself, and Various Persons Named Kevin O’Brien. He has also published a collection of poetry, Smoked Glass.

JOE ROSENBLATT – Five Poems and Five Drawings

Joe Rosenblatt of Canada is the author of several volumes of verse, including Top Soil for which he received the Governor General’s Award in 1976.

ROBERT KROETSCH – The Honey Sack

Robert Kroetsch of Canada has published fiction and poetry, included the novels The Words Of My Roaring, The Studhorse Man and Badlands.

LUC BOURBONAIS – Seven Foldings

Luc Bourbonais of Canada is an artist who has had a number of exhibitions in Montreal. and has been represented by the Gallerie Gilles Gheerbrandt.

ROBERT MARTEAU – Pentecost

Robert Marteau of Canada, and of France, has published fiction and poetry: Royaumes, Travaux sur la Terre, Sibylles, Atlanta, and Pentcôte.

R. MURRAY SCHAFER – Ariadne

R. Murray Schafer of Canada is a composer and author. His books include The Book of Noise, The Music of the Environment, and the Tuning of the World.
