AUSTIN CLARKE – The Question

Austin Clarke of Canada has published several novels — including The Toronto Trilogy, and, most recently, The Origins of Waves — as well as many short-story collections, including There Are No Elders. He has also published The Austin Clarke Reader, a compendium of his short fiction, journalism, and political essays.

HAYDEN CARRUTH – A Summer With Tu Fu

Hayden Carruth of the United States has published more than twenty volumes of poetry, earning many awards, including the National Book Critics Circle Award in Poetry, the Harriet Monrow Award, Guggenheim and NEA fellowships, and the National Book Award for Poetry.


Mieke Bevelander of Canada has work in major collections in Canada and the United States. She has had one-woman shows in Toronto, Winnipeg, The Hague, Zadar, Edinburgh, and Bologna.

FRAN MUIR – Emily Leaves the Garden

Fran Muir of Canada has published fiction in several small magazines. Her first collection, Coming to Bone, appeared in Exile Edition’s The Darkhorse Series, Number 8.


Andrea Zanzotto of Italy has been a dominant figure in Italy, and among his works are: Pasque, Poesie (1938-1972), Filò: Per il Casanova di Fellini, Il galateo in bosco, Fosfeni, Idioma, Fantasie di avicinamento: La Letture di un poeta.

SANDRO CHIA – Four Drawings

Sandro Chia of Italy is outstanding among artists of our time. Popularly associated with the group known as “the three Cs” — Chia, Cucchi, and Clemente — his work is in the major collections of Europe and North America. His first Canadian exhibition took place at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Toronto.

DANIEL DAVID MOSES – The Dreaming Beauty

Daniel David Moses of Canada, a registered Delaware, is a poet and dramatist. His volumes of poetry include: Delicate Bodies and The White Line. His plays include: Almighty Voice and His Wife, Big Buck City, The Moon and Dead Indians and Angel of the Medicine Show, the latter two published together as The Indian Medicine Shows.
