MICHEL TREMBLAY – The Guid-Sisters

Michel Tremblay of Canada worked is a well-known playwright. Les Belles-Soeurs was a great success commercially, aesthetically, and politically — not the least because of Tremblay’s masterful use of joual, the “corrupt” street-smart argot of the working class. The play has been translated into English, and performed in English, but an English too proper, too flat, too devoid of disfiguring beauty. This translation into Scots-English is the closest approximation of the original to date.

Drew Farrell of Canada is a poet whose first published work appeared in Volume 1, Number 1.

Timothy Archer of Canada is a writer. This is his first published story.

FRANK WATT – An Enquiry Into Why Girls Fall in Love with Horses

AUSTIN CLARKE – Running For My Life
