MORLEY CALLAGHAN – The Chiseller and Loppy Phelan’s Double Shoot

Morley Callaghan of Canada is the author of more than fifteen novels, and several books of short fiction. Recently some twenty-five forgotten stories were found, and these – including the two in this issue – will be published in The Lost and Found Stories of Morley Callaghan.

GILLES HÉNAULT – Five Poems

Gilles Hénault of Canada is the author of Théâtre en Plein Air, Totems, Voyages en Pays de Mémoire, Sémaphor, and Signaux Pour Les Voyants.

LINDA ZWICKER – Panther and Jaguar

Linda Zwicker of Canada is a dramatist. Panther And Jaguar was first broadcast in September 1983 on CBC radio. It won the 1984 ACTRA award as “Best Radio Program of the Year.” This is her first published work.

FERNAND OUELLETTE – Seven Poems

Fernand Ouellette of Canada has published novels and several volumes of poetry: Ces Anges de Sang, Séquences de l’aile, Le Soleil sous la Mort, Dan le Sombre, Errances, Ici, Ailleurs la Lamière, A Découvert, and En La Muit, La Mer.

MICHEL BEAULIEU – The Blues

Michel Beaulieu of Canada has published many books of poetry, among them: Pour Chantes dan les Chaines, Erosions, Charmes de la Fureur, Paysage, Pulsions, Variables, Le Cercle de Justice, Visages, Kaleidescope, ou les aleus du corps grave. Exile Editions has published Charms of Fury, translated by Arlette Francière. Died in July 1985.

CLAIRE WEISSMAN WILKS – Medallions

Claire Weissman Wilks of Canada has had several one-woman shows. Her books of drawings include: Two Of Us Together; Each of Us Alone, Tremors, and Hillmother.

GWENDOLYN MACEWEN – Three Poems

Gwendolyn MacEwen of Canada has written fiction and done splendid translations of the Greek poet, Yannis Ritsos. Her own works include: The Drunken Clock, A Breakfast for Barbarians, The Shadow-Maker, The Armies of the Moon, The Fire-Eaters, The T.E. Lawrence Poems, and Earthlight.

DENYS NÉRON – Two Poems

Denys Néron of Canada has published L’Equation Sensible.

RENAUD LONGCHAMPS – Quaternary

Renaud Longchamps of Canada has published Sur l’aire du Lire, Fer Moteurs, L’État de Matière, Anticorps, and Charpente Charnelle.

PIERRE MORENCY – Two Poems

Pierre Morency of Canada is the author of: Au Nord Constamment de l’Amour, Lieu de Naîance, Le Temps des Oseaux, and Torrential.

JOE ROSENBLATT – Escape from the Glue Factory

Joe Rosenblatt of Canada has published many volumes of poetry: The LSD Leacock, The Bumblebee Dithyramb, Dream Craters, Topsoil, The Sleeping Lady (Exile Editions), Brides Of The Stream. Escape From The Glue Factory, his memoirs of childhood, was published by Exile Editions.
