Vanderbilt/Exile Short Fiction Competition: announcement

Gloria Vanderbilt increases Short Fiction Competition prizes! For the 2012-13 round, $10,000 will be awarded to an emerging writer, and $5,000 to a writer at any career point.

After the culmination of the 2011-12 Vanderbilt/Exile Short Fiction Competition – the awards evening was on Saturday June 9 and three winning writers shared in $7,000, a special party in honour of Ms Vanderbilt was held on Sunday, a reading by Ms Vanderbilt at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre was on Monday, and the public launch of the CVC Anthology was held on Tuesday – Gloria Vanderbilt  was so impressed with the quality of writing and the series of events that she has increased the 2012-13 awards to $10,000 for an emerging writer, and $5,000 to a writer at any career point.
